I’m interested in mass transport mechanisms and high-temperature transformations in materials, and in particular how such phenomena are related to the geometry and microstructure of materials. I investigate such phenomena using imaging experiments, in particular X-ray tomographic imaging. I have a strong interest in image processing, and more generally data processing related to materials science, and developing open-source software for scientific computing applications.
